Health Survey Findings
This Health Survey was designed to assess high school student attitude toward suicide, as well as factors that may contribute to suicidal thought or behavior. It was designed to be administered on two occasions, first to a portion of the Thurston High School (THS) student population before the premiere of the play, “Sleepwalk.” The second occasion was following a weekday presentation of the play for selected THS students. “Sleepwalk,” the new play by award-winning playwright William Mastrosimone, will make its international premiere at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2005 in Scotland on August 3. The 50-minute play, written to be performed by teens for teens, addresses the shocking epidemic of teen suicide.
