I don’t usually like director’s notes much because they’re mostly about a production that I can’t relate to because I wasn’t there. Also, they tend to be a bit restrictive and prescribe a way rather than helping me find my own way. Hopefully, I can help out rather than get in your way because, ultimately, as long as you are true to the intentions of this play, it’s not so important how you do this play, but that you do it. Bang Bang You’re Dead Director’s Note

Several years back, after I had just begun a much-deserved summer break, I got a call from our campus police officer. He wanted me to come down and see what had been unearthed from one of the tech theatre lockers that were located just on the other side of the hallway from my office. I was frightened and saddened when he opened up the bag and I saw a small, somewhat shabby, very loaded .22 semi-automatic pistol.
