Michael’s credits include dozens of shows at Thurston High School from 1990-2006 as well as West Side Story for Lane Summer Musical Theatre, Sideman at the Lord Leebrick Theatre Company, Take Down, Break Down at the Very Little Theatre, as well as others.

Mr. Fisher and the Thurston Theatre Department collaborated with William Mastrosimone on several plays for high schools, including Bang Bang You’re Dead, Take Down Break Down, Sleepwalk (which toured to Scotland, Oregon, Washington, & Arizona), and, most recently, Winner By Submission, which will tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, 2010

He is a Leadership Mentor for the Educational Theatre Association and works with theatre directors in Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada. He’s received The Rex Rabold Memorial Award for excellence in theatre education, the Rae Mona Reynolds Humanitarian Award for promoting excellence in theatre arts from the Oregon Theatre Arts Association, the Melba Day Sparks Memorial Award, Oregon’s Educational Theatre Association Hall of Fame and the was inducted into the Washington State Educational Theatre Association’s Hall of Fame in 2010. He’s been listed in Who’s Who Among American Teachers five times.
